陈海波教授,英国利兹大学交通研究所空间模拟与动力学分析团队负责人,东南大学、北京交通大学等高校名誉教授。英国利兹大学交通研究所智能交通系统领域世界领先的研究员, 英国和欧洲智能交通系统协会活跃会员和培训指导员。陈海波教授在交通研究和教学方面的持续卓越表现获得了女王周年纪念奖(英国教育系统中最为尊贵的国家奖项之一)。2020年以来,在国际顶级期刊上发表论文60余篇。近年来,他作为骨干成员参与了十多个总额超过7千万欧元的欧盟项目。他的研究兴趣包括智能出行、交通和环境管理与控制、大气污染评估、交通大数据和数字孪生、零排放车辆、自动化交通系统等。
Driven by the Paris Agreement, which set ambitious targets to reduce CO2 emissions by 45% by 2030 and to achieve net zero emissions by 2050 (compared to 2010 levels), recent R&D initiatives in the European transport sector have focused heavily on decarbonizing all transport activities, including systems, infrastructure, and services used to move people and goods. In this talk, Professor Chen from the Institute of Transport Studies at the University of Leeds will present the framework of the current Horizon Europe R&D program and his findings from several EU-funded projects aimed at improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions in transport. The talk will focus on (1) Changing driver behavior to adapt to low emissions: lessons learned from eight cities; (2) A cloud-based real-time powertrain control model for long-distance heavy-duty vehicles; (3) A comparative life cycle assessment of electric bikes for commuting; and (4) City readiness for connected and autonomous vehicles: a multi-stakeholder and multi-criteria analysis via the Analytical Hierarchy Process.
